Let's Celebrate Nature Together!
Nature is a very strange and beautiful thing created by god. Sometimes it is calm and sometimes it is dangerous. Sometimes it is the rasping of a tree snake's scales or the fluttering of a sunbird's tiny wings and sometimes it is the roaring of a Bengal tiger or the harsh blowing of the monsoon winds. In this blog post, I shall not be talking about any one bird in particular...

I shall be sharing some of my encounters with Mother Nature..........
From a very young age, I have been interested in nature and have spent my entire toddlerhood visiting woods and picking wild flowers growing alongside ponds and lakes. I even knew the names of many of the colourful birds which I often spotted around our locality by the age of seven. For my eighth birthday, I had received a field guide on the birds of India and its neighbouring countries, as a gift. So, you may have already guessed that by the time I was ten years old, I was accompanied by my binoculars whenever I visited any birdwatching park.
A few days ago, I visited a state park and lake in Karnataka and spotted many birds there, like Darters, Oriental White-eyes, Brahminy Kites and Mallard ducks.
I was observing the pair of Darters flying to and from a tree on the other side of the lake that I visited. They were bringing twigs and branches to the tree to build a nest. On a particular occasion, they even flew very close to me, but sadly, I missed the shot. The old Brahminy kite however seemed busy in its own world, circling the sky multiple times while giving a certain sense of mystery and wonder to its presence. I however, was quite a fool when the Oriental White-eyes' turn came....... I was standing right below the tree where the little bird was hopping about and practising its high-pitched whistling. It wasn't until 2 minutes later that I managed to spot the tiny recluse! As for the Mallards, they were also flying about and making their dabbling noises.
So you see, our natural environment is inhabited by many wonderful creatures whom you may have never even dreamed of seeing. I thus finish today's post by advising, if there are any, readers who are not very close to nature to just take a look, you may get addicted soon!
Sometimes nature escapes can be dangerous too like I faced once.
